Syracuse University professor and artists Sam Van Aken uses chip grafting to create trees that bear 40 types of fruits. Each tree takes several years to make and can be auctioned off for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Jika González and I filmed Van Aken at his nursery for National Geographic.
